Welcome to the website of Dr. Checkers Marshall, a multidisciplinary performance aristist. They have been practicing flow arts for over a decade, specializing in Russian-style fan spinning since 2016. Intrigued by the relantionship between props by their shapes, Checkers additionally picked up dragon staff and hoops, leading to their “Point Groups for Props” project. After winning the 2023 Dance Your PhD competition, Checkers is moving forward with combining flow arts and science in unique and creative ways.
